Various Keyboard Shortcuts

Preface: I understand these features would requires various degrees of complexity to implement. I have listed these most useful to least useful, top to bottom. I also think some of these shortcuts could possible be better, I came up with them quickly. Feedback would be appreciated.

Ctrl + Tab to navigate top level tabs

Like in a web browser, Ctrl + Tab should paginate through top level tabs (Home, Host, Stats, Mods, and Settings).

Ctrl + F to focus filter/search fields

The action for this keybind depends on the active tab.

• In Home, focus the search bar for the server list.

• In Host (main), focus the search bar for the server list.

• In Host (new server), focus the search bar for the Mode/Map/Collection, whichever is appropriate.

• If the ability to look up other player’s stats is added, Ctrl + F should focus the search bar.

• In Mods, focus the search bar for installed mods list or NexusMods search, whichever is appropriate.

• Within the social tab, focus the search bar for player username.

Ctrl + Shift + L/R Arrow to navigate subtabs

The action for this keybind depends on the active tab.

• In Home, navigates pages of the server list.

• In Host (new server), navigates between Rotation and Mods submenus.

• In Stats, navigates between EA and Kyber stats pages.

• In Mods, navigates between Mods and Browser submenus.

Ctrl + N to create a new server

When in the Host tab, Ctrl + N should click the “+ New” button.

Esc to close selected collection/mod modal

When in the Mods tab, only one menu can be shown on the right side at once. Example flow: open mods tab, click on a collection, click on a mod in the available mods list. In order to see the info of the mod you clicked on, you must close the collection popup. Yay you can now see the mod info. Pressing escape should close the top level of whichever of these menus is active (collection or mod info, situationally).

Ctrl + Alt + L/R Arrow to navigate tertiary tab menus

The action for this keybind depends on the active tab.

• In Home (a server is selected), navigates between Mods and Servers submenus (in the popup on the right side of the screen). I know that these modals are planned to be redesigned, so this particular bit of feedback may become outdated.

• In Host (new server), navigates between Settings and Info submenus.

Tab navigation in general

I know this is probably the most annoying kind of keyboard shortcut to update, but there are several menus in the launcher that do not have all buttons properly navigable via tab. This one I don’t care as much about, I’m only mentioning it since it is already partially implemented.
