Setup Guide - KYBER

1) Download and then extract the KYBER Installer from the .zip.

2) Run the KYBER Installer. Then, run the KYBER Launcher.

3) Play fair, be kind, and have fun!

Important Changes:

  • The Medical Droid & GONK Droid now reward the player with score when at least 2 allies are within their healing and resupply radius.

    The Med Droid is available for the Officer Class, and the GONK Droid is available for the Heavy Class as equipment Star Cards.

  • Battlefront Plus blaster attachments have been revamped across the entire infantry arsenal to be more consistent with the base game attachments.
    Many blasters have also received brand-new attachments.

  • Enabled the Ping System for all characters and added some quality of life improvements.

  • Reworked Ahsoka Tano’s kit, adding two new abilities and four replacement Star Cards.

  • Balance improvements to Asajj Ventress & Merrin’s kits.

  • The Empire’s Tie Striker can no longer perform tow cable takedowns on a friendly AT-AT.

  • The map rotations on Official 24/7 Conquest & Galactic Assault have been updated to enhance variety.

Ping System

Press F3 to place an in-world 3D marker to quickly signal danger or directions to your squad.
On a controller, use Right on the D-pad to place a Ping.

The Ping System is included in the kits of all ground units, including infantry classes, reinforcements, and heroes.

In our testing of this update, we had great success breaking chokepoints in Galactic Assault and Ship Phases by coordinating pings. It’s clutch in those last-minute objective pushes!

The keybind for placing Pings can be modified through the in-game settings menu.

The Ping System was introduced several updates ago, but was restricted to infantry classes.
Ping System changes:

  • Enabled for all characters

  • Fixed an issue with the icon going through surfaces that were too close before teleporting back

Troopers

  • Reworked custom blaster attachments across the board to be more consistent with the base game. Many Battlefront Plus blasters have also received brand-new attachments.

  • New attachment icons for Berserker, Critical Shot, Escape Artist, Explosive Shot, Ion Shot, Seeker Tactics, and Sharpshooter, as well as the sidearm replacers (Bulldog RLR, A180 Pistol, A180 Rifle, Relby V-10 Microgrenades)

  • TL-40: New Heavy blaster, replaces G125. Alternating triple-barreled heavy repeater with superior cooling and mid-range power

  • K-16 Bryar Pistol: Improved charge-up speed

  • T-21: Burst Mode has been reduced to 2 shots per burst

  • LL-30: Fixed an issue with Precision Blaster not restricting active cooling

  • 773-Firepuncher: Fixed an issue with the projectile going through lightsaber blocks

  • Bowcaster: Increased rate of fire. Reduced zoom magnification. Changed effects to red. Fixed alignment issues with the charging effects in first-person

  • Dependable: Partially reworked to provide all effects from the ability (damage resistance, sprint speed, heal when damaged) to both the user and the target. Added an activation animation

  • Bacta Spray: Moved to left ability category. Partially reworked to block healing when used against an enemy and provide consistent healing values to allies. Experimental implementation of an autoplayer version. Fixed an issue that allowed the ability to heal gadgets, turrets, vehicles, and objectives. Updated icon

  • Strategic Adjustment: Replaces Personal Shield. Toggle between the offensive and defensive effects of your abilities to suit the situation on the battlefront.

Heroes

  • Cal Kestis

  • Force Stasis: Reworked to improve synergy and utility, no more charge-up function. The area of effect is narrow with high range while in the single-bladed stance, but has a small radius all around him while in the double-bladed stance

  • Persistence (Star Card): Reworked to account for ability changes. Cal deals bonus damage to enemies affected by Force Stasis

  • Peacekeeper (Star Card): Reworked to account for ability changes. Enemies are affected by FORCE STASIS for a longer duration, but the ability has a slower cooldown

  • Commander Cody

Increased base health and max health regen

  • Ghost Company: Removed

  • Attack Order: Replaces Ion Field. Commander Cody marks an enemy for elimination, revealing them to his team. Anyone attacking the target briefly receives improved recharge times and blaster cooling

  • Battle Rifle: Improved heat capacity, extending the ability's duration

  • Blast Them (Star Card): Replaces Ion Capacitors to account for ability changes. Attacking a target marked by Attack Order will additionally grant resistance to incoming damage

  • You Can Count On Us (Star Card): Reworked to account for ability changes. If he is within 18 meters of three friendly units, Commander Cody and his close allies will regenerate some health

  • Armored Up (Star Card): Reworked to account for ability changes. Commander Cody gains some bonus health whenever he defeats an enemy. This effect can be stacked limitlessly, but drains slowly over time

  • IB-94: Reverted nerfs to close damage

  • Jango Fett

  • Dual Westar 34s: Improved recoil, reduced accuracy

  • Lando

  • Smoke Grenade: Blocks enemy healing

  • Overcharge: Increased the incremental damage percent per Overcharge level. Increased the blast damage and radius of the final level. Increased cooldown time

  • R2-D2: Increased detection radius and lock-on speed for firing off the shock and smoke grenades

  • Proximity Bomb: Increased max deployable bombs to 3, but they cannot be placed within 12m of each other. Shooting a bomb will detonate it

  • Pulse Cannon: Reduced end damage. Increased cooldown time

  • Augmented Turret: Increased cooldown time

Villains

  • Bossk

Bossk no longer regenerates health infinitely.

  • Relby V-10: Reduced end damage.

  • Scorekeeper's Blessing: New passive ability. Securing kills immediately begins replenishing Bossk's health for 3 seconds. Rapid killstreaks allow this to be sustained.

  • Dioxis Grenade: Begins recharging after the grenade dies instead of immediately. Reduced cooldown time

  • Trip Mines: Shooting a mine will detonate it

  • Darth Maul

  • Choke Throw: Added damage resistance while in the animation

  • Dengar

  • DLT-19: Increased fire rate

  • Explosive Array: Reworked to play similarly to the 2015 version - Dengar will toss sticky bombs at any enemies ahead of him, which can cause significant damage when multiple people are affected and grouped up

  • More Toys (Star Card): Reworked to account for ability changes. The cooldown on Explosive Array is reduced and the bombs have a longer fuse time

  • Ventress

  • Starblades: Experimental changes to make the projectiles apply damage more consistently. They now have a small damage radius instead of requiring direct impact and die based on the number of impacts, rather than how long they've been active

  • Sister of the Night (Star Card): Increases cooldown time of Vanish when equipped

In approximately 20 minutes, KYBER will go offline while we deploy an update. This is expected to last for up to 60 minutes.

After deployment, the update will automatically install next time you open KYBER. You can also force the update by going to Settings > Accounts & Updates > Force Update.

  • Mod extraction progress is now displayed when installing mods

    • This only works for .zip and .rar files

      • .7z files don't show any progress

    • Implemented an overhaul of the Download Manager

This update delivers a range of fixes and improvements that address issues affecting most players. We’ve also included some new Quality of Life features focused on Voice Chat and Game Invites.

Important Fixes

  • Fixed a major issue preventing players from joining servers (os error 32)

    • Related: Fixed an issue causing Voice Chat to become unavailable for some players

  • Fixed an issue where the limit of 247 mods was incorrectly reported as being over this number, preventing hosts from starting new servers.

Hello there!

This update introduces the Report System, allowing you to quickly and securely notify KYBER when a user is disrupting the experience. Reports can be made directly within the KYBER Launcher and will be reviewed in accordance with our Terms of Service. Support for custom maps and game modes is now implemented.

The Launcher now supports custom names, images, and selection UI for new maps and game modes. We’ll be sharing documentation later to guide mod developers through map setup in Frosty Editor. A big thanks to the Battlefront Plus team for their collaboration in making this happen.

We’ve also resolved the issue where Battlefront 2 settings would reset every time the game launched with KYBER (thank the maker).

Battlefront Plus - Beta 101 - Update Notes

CONQUEST RETURNS TO BATTLEFRONT

  • Supremacy reworked into Conquest, using a ticket-based system instead of percentages. Kills and captured posts deplete enemy tickets; more posts = faster drain.

  • Majority capture rate decides control speed (e.g. 9 Clones vs 3 Droids = rate of 6).

  • Capturing all posts triggers Overtime - the losing team has 60 seconds to reclaim a post or lose.

  • Auto-captured posts: Two per team at round start (Prequel/Sequel) for faster variety.

  • Capital ships return as limited “lives.” Losing on the ground sends your team to defend your ship once.

  • Win by either destroying the enemy ship after a ground win, or by winning two ground phases.

Hello there! It’s time for another KYBER Beta Playtest update - and this one brings some big upgrades.

The team’s been working steadily behind the scenes, and today we’re rolling out a fresh set of improvements across the board. You can dive into all the details in the full Update Notes below.

We’re also expanding our support for players across the globe:

  • A new OCE Ping Site is now live

  • The EU Ping Site has moved to Germany from the Netherlands

  • The NA Central Ping Site has shifted to NA East

  • And a new NA West Ping Site is on the way soon

And yes - Wave Four is on the horizon. We expect to welcome around 6,000 new Playtesters, doubling the number invited in the previous Wave. We’ll share the exact start date soon - but preparations are already underway.

Updated map rotations on official servers - EU & NA East - will also be deployed in time for Wave Four.

  • Fixed an issue where loading multiple levels at the same time would crash the module

  • Removed the "PLAY" button from the server browser as playing on EA servers is still broken

    • To play offline, you can go to the Mods page, select a mod collection and click on the "PLAY" button there
