[2.0.0-beta7] - [25/11/2025]

This update delivers a range of fixes and improvements that address issues affecting most players. We’ve also included some new Quality of Life features focused on Voice Chat and Game Invites.

The update is available now and will automatically install next time you open KYBER.
You can also force the update by going to Settings > Accounts & Updates > Force Update.

Important Fixes

  • Fixed a major issue preventing players from joining servers (os error 32)

    • Related: Fixed an issue causing Voice Chat to become unavailable for some players

  • Fixed an issue where the limit of 247 mods was incorrectly reported as being over this number, preventing hosts from starting new servers.

New Features

  • Added Push-to-talk mode for Voice Chat

    • Hold X to talk.

    • Toggle Push-to-talk and edit its keybind in Settings > In-game settings

  • Added in-game Voice Chat activity indicators

    • Voice Chat indicators appear in-world over players heads

    • Voice Chat indicators appear next to player names in the Scoreboard

  • Added Discord account linking

    • Link your Discord and KYBER accounts in Settings > Accounts & Updates

  • Added dynamic game invites to Discord

    • Use the !squadup command in Discord to send a dynamic invite to your server in chat

    • Invites display your server's name, description, player count, and required mods

    • Join servers directly from Discord by clicking the Join Game button on the invite.

    • Link your Discord and KYBER accounts in Settings > Accounts & Updates to access this feature.

  • Fixed proximity voice chat not working

  • Added Discord linking

    • You can now link your Discord account to your Kyber account in the settings page

    • Patreon supporters should have their Discord account linked automatically after logging in

  • Added the option to use push to talk for proximity voice chat

  • Added the option to switch input and output devices for proximity voice chat without needing to be in-game

  • Added in-game icons for proximity voice chat

  • Ping Sites are now pinged multiple times to get a more accurate ping value

    • We are aware that some users are still experiencing high ping.

    • We believe we know the cause of the issue, and we are working on a solution.

  • Collections can now be saved by pressing enter in the collection name input

  • Fixed an issue where the game would sometimes crash when using Kyber.Restart

  • EA usernames should get updated again on KYBER after a name change.

    • It can take up to 7 days for your username to update on KYBER.

  • The launcher now clears the Nexus Mods cache between each version to prevent issues with outdated cache

  • Fixed stats on official servers not updating

  • Fixed an issue where the launcher would get stuck at "Updating Module"

  • Files in the MISCELLANEOUS FILES category are now displayed in the mod browser

  • Fixed an issue where the mods list on the host page would not refresh after a file system change

  • Moved mod browser cache to the system temp folder
