Unable to install updates to Kyber

Kyber seems unable to install the latest launcher update on my machine. It just gets stuck at the “Downloading update” phase, with no progress. Everything related to the Kyber launcher has been excluded from my antivirus already, so that method of troubleshooting has already failed.
