Hero Concept: The Father (Mortis Balance Master)

Overview

The Father is a high-skill, mid-range Force-based hero inspired by the Mortis trilogy. He does not use a lightsaber. Instead, he manipulates reality and the Force through offensive control, defensive barriers, and balance-oriented abilities.

He embodies both Light and Dark aspects, dynamically shifting between them depending on player actions.


Core Attributes

  • Health: 700

  • Movement Speed: Medium

  • Dash Charges: 2 (short-range phase/teleport-style movement)

  • Healing: Low (limited passive sustain and ability-based healing)

  • Hitbox Size: Slightly taller than Vader

  • Playstyle: Mid-range controller with hybrid offense/defense mechanics

  • Theme: Force mastery, reality manipulation, balance between Light and Dark


Basic Attacks & Primary Mechanics

Primary Attack (Left Click) — Force Crush (Channeling)

  • The Father extends his left hand and channels the Force to crush a targeted enemy.

  • Requires continuous input (hold to maintain).

Effects:

  • Continuous damage over time

  • Applies strong slow effect

  • Brief stagger or stun after sustained channel

Stats:

  • Damage per second: ~20–25

  • Slow: 25%–40%

  • Max channel duration: 3–4 seconds

  • Break conditions:

    • Target escapes line of sight

    • Target moves out of range

Role: Sustained pressure and Dark-side offensive control


Secondary Attack (Right Click) — Force Shield

  • The Father raises his right hand to generate a protective Force barrier.

Effects:

  • Blocks incoming blaster fire

  • Reduces incoming lightsaber damage

  • Absorbs or reflects Force-based projectiles

Stats:

  • Damage reduction: 40%–60%

  • Duration: 5–6 seconds

  • Cooldown: 10–12 seconds

  • Reflection: Partial or full depending on balance tuning

Role: Defensive stance and projectile mitigation


Abilities

Ability 1 — Force Lift & Push

Type: Neutral / Hybrid Control

The Father uses his left hand to lift a target using the Force, then thrusts forward with his right hand to launch them away.

Effects:

  • Target is lifted briefly (crowd control)

  • Follow-up Force push launches the enemy forward

  • Applies stun during lift phase

Stats:

  • Damage: 130

  • Lift duration: 1–1.5 seconds

  • Knockback: Medium–high

  • Cooldown: 15 seconds

Role: Engagement, displacement, and setup tool


Ability 2 — Balance Field

Type: Area Control / Hybrid Support

The Father creates a circular reality distortion field around himself that moves with him.

Effects (within radius):

  • Allies / self:

    • +15% damage reduction

    • Increased healing regeneration

  • Enemies:

    • Slowed by ~20%

    • Receive minor periodic damage

Stats:

  • Radius: 6–8 meters

  • Duration: 6–8 seconds

  • Cooldown: 20 seconds

Role: Sustained zone control, survivability, and battlefield manipulation


Ability 3 — Force Reality Vision Ball

Type: Charged Ultimate-style Ability

The Father channels energy overhead, forming a large luminous Force sphere which is then launched toward a target.

Effects on impact:

  • Damage: 100 direct hit

  • Knockback: Medium

  • Applies blindness / visual disruption (brief screen distortion)

  • Applies weakness debuff (reduced outgoing damage)

Special Mechanics:

  • Projectile can be guided slightly during travel (player input influence)

  • Charge time required before release

Stats:

  • Cooldown: 25 seconds

Role: High-impact crowd control and finisher ability
